Celebrating Family Literacy Day at Holy Trinity 📖

Today, Holy Trinity School had the privilege of celebrating Family Literacy Day with an exciting series of activities that brought the joy of reading to life. Our students and staff dressed as their favorite storybook characters, creating an atmosphere of creativity and imagination. From beloved heroes to whimsical creatures, the day was filled with enthusiasm for literature.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this day a success. The event showcased the power of reading and how it can bring people together, fostering a lifelong love of books.

Here are some of the highlights from today’s celebration:

  • Mrs. Yoon, Ms. Brittany, Ms. Paige, and Ms. Nancy’s FDK Class: The students in this class enjoyed reading Stephanie’s Ponytail, as well as other favorite stories. The day was filled with shared moments of joy, family time, and tasty treats.
  • Mrs. Yasko, Mr. Vicedomini, Ms. Julie, and Mr. Nick’s Kindergarten Classes: Families joined their children for a cozy reading session, complete with PJs and shared stories. Each child had the opportunity to create a bookmark to take home as a keepsake of this special day.
  • Mrs. Tompkins and Mrs. Meyer’s Class: Students in this class participated in an engaging literacy and math-based scavenger hunt. Parents were invited to join the fun, making it a memorable and interactive experience for all.
  • Mme Jessica and Mme Angèle’s Kindergarten Class: This group of young actors brought to life three classic stories—Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, and Little Red Riding Hood. With props and enthusiasm, the students performed for their parents, delivering a heartwarming and magical presentation.

Holy Trinity is truly grateful to have had the opportunity to share such a meaningful celebration of reading with our students and their families. As we reflect on the highlights of this day, we look forward to continuing to inspire and encourage a love of reading within our school community for all current and future learners in our care.
