Holy Trinity Catholic School is committed to Catholic education. Our faith is strengthened each day as we begin with morning prayer and each individual classroom shares Scripture stories and lessons about our Catholic faith during a daily religion lesson.
Faith Celebrations and Mass
We partner with St. Andrew’s the Apostle Church for regular masses and celebrations. Each class is responsible for organizing mass throughout the school year. Musical support for the school masses is provided by Mrs. Henry – Merci Mrs. Henry! The Priest of St. Andrew’s, visits the school weekly to work closer with the students in the classroom. The school community as a whole also gathers for special celebrations throughout the year such as a blessing for the new school year in September, a Remembrance Day prayer service in November, weekly Advent presentations in December, an Ash Wednesday celebration and end of year prayer service and summer blessing. Each celebration and prayer service help develop a learning environment where Catholic values, teachings and beliefs are a part of our students’ everyday education.
Virtue Celebrations
As a part of our Catholic education, junior classes are partnered with primary classes in order to create a presentation about the monthly virtues. These virtue presentations are filled with videos, art work and songs all demonstrating what each of the virtues mean to the students. These celebrations allow for a collective learning environment and provides students the opportunity to share their creativity and knowledge.
Annual Food Drive and Other Fundraisers
An annual food drive is held at St. Charles College to help fill the shelves of the local food bank. As a feeder school for SCC, our school has taken part in these food drives to help reach the goal of 60,000 cans. These food drives help enhance our Catholic and Christian spirit among the students by helping members of our community who are in need.
As a school community, we have also participated in a variety of local fundraisers (such as Superhero for Parker and Toonies for Tuition) to help students or community partners in need.
